The 2008 All-American Wrestling Camp was once again a huge success, with over 180 participants that represented wrestlers from over 7 different states, wrestlers as young as 5 and as old as 19 years of age.  This years featured clinician was Jory Dick, Assisitant Coach for Enid HS, who was a NAIA Runner-Up and a 3x All-American for Missouri Valley College. "Jory was an outstanding addition to the staff and definetly fits in very well with the current staff and group of wrestllers.  He brings his own unique style of wrestling to the camp, which is one of the best qualities about the All-Amereican Camp." stated Jeremy Biddle, Camp Director.
The camp has become a melting pot of successful collegiate and high school wrestlers that bring their own styles, techniques, and drills and combine them into one camp.  It is always a challenge every year to keep up with bringing in new idieas and clinicians to the camp. We obviously want to keep using what is working for us, but always look to build on the success of the previous year.  In fact, Coach Harding,Coach Perez, and Coach Elliot were all previous residents back when the camp first was  getting off the ground, and now they have made that transition into a coaching role and are able to pass on their own take on some of the things they've learned at the camp as wrestlers.  This is the same mentality that we teach our wrestlers, that this is a never ending process.  You should never stop learning and it's a continuous job ob passing on the knowledge to each generation of new wrestlers.
The 2009 All American Camp is scheduled to take place on June 28th-July 1st, again at Southwestern College and Winfield High School here in Winfield, Ks.  Please check back for upcoming years information.
ALL AMERICAN CAMP MISSION
This camp is designed to connect all styles of wrestling into one camp, regardless of age or level of competition.  Our clinicians and counselors are products of Kansas Kids Wrestling Programs from all over Kansas.  All sessions are set up with time to work on Technique, Situation Wrestling, Live and Chain Wrestling and Conditioning Drills.  We focus on mastering the basics of wrestling, which includes proper intensity, structure and execution of moves, drills and other fundamentals.  We also focus on the importance of a TEAM concept, allowing wrestlers and coaches to take what they have learned back to their programs.
